This year's Mr. Olympia will not take place in Las Vegas.
Chief Olympic Officer Dan Solomon:
“We hope to make this happen. To protect the interests of fans, Olympic Weekend will instead be held in central Florida at the Orange County Convention Center in the heart of Orlando.”
Due to the current situation in Las Vegas, those responsible have decided to change location. With current developments, only 250 people would be admitted to Plant Hollywood in Vegas in December. In addition, the participants would have to be quarantined for 14 days.
As things stand, the largest and most important bodybuilding competition in the world will take place from 17th to 22nd. December at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The Hyatt Regency has been selected as an official Olympic hotel. In the past, some IFBB Pro League and NPC competitions have been moved to Florida. For example, the traditional NEW YORK Pro Show was held in Tampa on September 5th. It remains to be seen how the situation in the USA and Florida will develop in the next few weeks. Dan Solomon also emphasizes in the video that the 2020 Olympics will hopefully take place.
